TEXAS REPORTING GUIDE

Texas certified payroll: WH-347 preparation and TxDOT reporting

For a Texas construction project, confirm the reporting recipient before choosing certified payroll software. Preparing a federal WH-347 and submitting payroll through a contract's required portal are separate tasks.

Does TxDOT use LCPtracker?

TxDOT's published FAQ identifies LCPtracker as its web-based system for certified payroll reporting. Ask your project contact how your company receives access and which reporting instructions apply to your contract. A WH-347 PDF should not be assumed to replace the required portal workflow.

What should your office confirm before the first payroll?

Use the contract and recipient's instructions to assemble a reporting checklist.

  • The required reporting system and the person responsible for submitting
  • The wage determination and modification incorporated into the contract
  • The reporting workweek, payroll numbering and deadline
  • Worker classifications, daily hours and supporting payroll records
  • How the recipient wants corrections and no-work periods reported

Where does PaidReady fit for Texas contractors?

PaidReady imports payroll CSV files, supports review under enabled federal rules, and prepares WH-347 reports. It does not connect to LCPtracker, submit to TxDOT, or provide a Texas-specific rule pack. Confirm that the preparation workflow meets your needs before subscribing; your project location alone does not establish which rules apply.

In PaidReady

PaidReady records the facts these rules depend on — determination versions by date, classifications, hours by day, fringe and apprentice facts — and reviews them with explainable checks before you prepare and sign the WH-347. It does not decide which laws apply to your project and does not replace your payroll provider.
