QUICKBOOKS CERTIFIED PAYROLL
Does QuickBooks do certified payroll?
Yes. Intuit documents a certified payroll report that downloads as a spreadsheet, with manual fields and a Statement of Compliance to review and sign.
Check which QuickBooks plan you have
Intuit’s setup help is tagged for QuickBooks Online Payroll Premium and Elite. Its newer QuickBooks Workforce article says certified payroll reporting is available only in Workforce Elite. Because the published plan information differs, confirm availability in your account or with Intuit before choosing a plan.
The documented spreadsheet workflow
Set up the project, weekly pay schedule, classifications and hourly rates in QuickBooks. Intuit then describes downloading the report as a spreadsheet, completing project and wage determination identifiers, reviewing fringe adjustments and signing the Statement of Compliance.
Follow the current official WH-347 instructions when reconciling columns. The January 2025 DOL form distinguishes total fringe credit in 6B from payment in lieu in 6C. Intuit’s help text uses a different column reference for a fringe adjustment, so verify the actual exported layout before entering it.
What the documentation establishes
The cited Intuit instructions describe user entered rates and report review. They do not describe a check against the project’s wage determination. This is a limit of the documentation reviewed, not a claim that no QuickBooks feature can perform a check.
Where PaidReady fits
I built PaidReady to add payroll CSV imports, selected wage version review, findings with evidence and a signed report history. It flags findings before you sign and does not replace QuickBooks for payroll processing. Confirm and map the exported columns; this is a CSV workflow, not a direct integration.
Federal WH-347 is supported today. California DIR eCPR XML export is in beta and other state portal exports are planned. The first signed WH-347 is free, with one project, two users and no card.
Frequently asked questions
Does QuickBooks produce a certified payroll spreadsheet?
Yes. Intuit documents a downloadable report. Confirm availability for your plan because its Online Payroll help tags and newer Workforce plan guidance differ.
What do I still need to complete?
Intuit describes manual project and wage determination identifiers, reporting numbers, worker and apprenticeship details, fringe adjustments and the signer’s review. Check the current DOL instructions against your exported layout.
Does PaidReady replace QuickBooks?
No. Keep QuickBooks for payroll processing. PaidReady imports a payroll CSV and supports review and federal WH-347 preparation.

PaidReady records the facts these rules depend on, determination versions by date, classifications, hours by day, fringe and apprentice facts, and reviews them with explainable checks before you prepare and sign the WH-347. It does not decide which laws apply to your project and does not replace your payroll provider.
